A 2020 Twist on our Angel Tree Tradition 

For many years, the Angel Tree Tradition has been a celebration of creative shopping, ingenuity, imagination, and incredible generosity! However, as with many dear traditions, our 2020 response to the growing needs of the Gulf Coast Women's Center for Non-Violence must change formats for the safety and convenience of everyone involved.

This year, we will follow a zero-contact process by sending personal checks directly to the Adopt a Family Christmas Program of GCWCMV. The Center staff and volunteer shoppers will use our contributions to address the individual wish lists of Center residents. Please mail your check by December 11th!

Although this is a wise approach given current circumstances, it certainly will not replace the joy and personal involvement that this project has held for many of us in the past. Let's just respond with our usual generosity and pray that next year finds us again searching for a high-tech toy we've never heard of or scouring Gulf Coast stores for that bright pink sweater in size 12!! The need is constant, and so is our hope for better times!
